Do you think the right person won American Idol?

I know, you don't care about American Idol. It's so stupid! It's drivel, only suitable for trailer-living, mouth-breathing tv-addicts! It's an affront to music!

But seriously, did your guy win?

(I was rooting for Kris. Adam is good, certainly a better showman, but I think he'll do fine as a free agent. Kris better fits in the Idol oeuvre.)

I don't watch the show, so I really have no idea. But, America voted, and, rest assured, we never screw that up.

No. The right person didn't win.

But then it's mostly pre-teens "voting" during this, so what did you expect?

Agreed. I wanted Kris to win and I'm glad he did.
Arguably Adam should have won because he really rejuvenated the entire show. Without him I'm not sure it would have been watchable. He was daring, surprising and talented but at the end of the day... dated. Glam is dead. And that could not have been better demonstrated than by the appearance of Kiss (ugh) at the finale.

The person I know who is the core audience, the one who buys the CDs and goes to the Tacoma Dome shows, she voted for Kris.

If I accidentally ran over Idol with my car, I would briefly consider pulling over, cradling the dying creature, contacting the owner and owning up to the manslaughter, but then I would just shrug my shoulders and assume that a fine layer of Idol mist doesn't affect the undercarriage of an SUV.

    No.

I don't know who's going to end up more marketable, or who is more in-touch with today's music tastes, or any of that.

All I know is that Adam was a better singer than Kris. That was obvious to me. If someone heard recordings of them singing the same songs, so they could be compared evenly, I think Adam would clearly come out on top.

I'm really glad that Kris won. I was a big Adam fan until the last few weeks when "The Scream" started really getting to me. Kris only got better as the weeks went on. There's something incredibly genuine about him. I only wish that it had been Allison and Kris in the final.

As a pre-scripted show that pretended to be LIVE, I found the unplanned appearances by the golden idol winners to be insulting to my intelegence. Tell me that security couldn't control one lone woman and escort her from the building.

If Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake could spark such an FCC crackdown on TV just by staging a boob flash during the superbowl, then why aren't they screaming bloody murder about the skin show that happened last night during Idol?

I'd love to see Fox and all affiliates get a fine leveled on them for that little "stunt"! It's only fair!

American Idol is considered as the most popular reality talent show in the country. And now that the new hailed American idol is enjoying its popularity and fame and also the money. And I think they both deserve to be the final two. However, as if we all hadn't heard enough about American Idol, now we have an American Idol voting controversy to contend with. The American Idol voting controversy centers on the two finalists, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. Supposedly, voters from Allens' home state of Arkansas voted once, but AT&T manipulated those votes so that each Allen vote counted about 12 times, and the reason why is that it's a conservative hit job on the purportedly gay Lambert. Just about anyone would give no fax payday loans no credit check needed to not hear about it again. If it's true, then someone will be paying for it, and installment loans for bad credit can't make the American Idol voting controversy go away.

Yeah, I don't watch that crap. I did see this interesting theory from Fox News on why he lost, though.

I was rooting for Adam. I actually liked Kris just fine--he's got a nice, if boring, voice and is a good musician, but I didn't find him inspiring, I guess. I was never excited by Kris and I never actively looked forward to his performance.
