Where do I get Paella in Seattle?

Is there a good place in Seattle to get the classic Paella? No fusion versions please.

Taberna del Alabardero's paella got a rave review here:

"For our entree we shared the squid ink paella which was exellent. We've eaten paella throughout Spain and Europe and can say that the paella at Taberna was comparable to the best."

For a place a little more off the beaten track, paella is the specialty dish at Gaudí Spanish Restaurant, 3410 NE 55th St, Seattle 98105, (206) 527-3400. Quirky ambience and a nice little bar in addition to the restaurant. Definitely recommended by me.

You can get paella at Tango (pdf menu here). I've never ordered it, and don't know anything about paella, so you'll have to make the fusion call yourself. :)

The Copacabana in the Pike Place Market has a pretty classic version. You can also go to Palomino in City Centre or Brasa. The latter two aren't what I'd call "fusion", but are fancied-up a bit (but tasty!).

    Brasa.

They usually keep it pretty traditional with their paella. They are a little pricey, but I've found it to be worth it.
