Not an answer, but some other leads to follow - The Phinney Neighborhood Association runs a Tool Lending Library. Stands to reason that they might know of a shop like what you are looking for. Call and ask - (206) 789-4993

You could also check at places that have shops and offer classes, like Pratt Fine Arts Center, or a community college.

An old Yelp post mentions both wood working and furniture design classes at Seattle Central - http://www.yelp.com/biz/wood-construction-seattle-central-community-collge-seattle#hrid:2AOAtOgARuIv3A5vuETiFA/src:search/query:wood%20working%20class

You could also call over to Crosscut Hardwoods and ask if they know of anyone in SODO with shop space available for share.

    Also try Woodcraft in Georgetown.

Also, don't forget to scope out the postings on craigslist: try searching under the office/commercial real estate listings for shop/warehouse listings.

I have no idea, but they would definitely know at Rockler, on Stone Way. http://www.rockler.com/retail/index.cfm?store=2
