What's the best place to watch the 4th of July fireworks from Capitol Hill?

I want to watch the fireworks and then promptly get wasted in one of my favorite bars. I also want to avoid the crowds at Lake Union.

What about volunteer park? Across from the museum? Can someone comment on whether or not this is a good spot?

Building off of Kimberly's answer - If you don't have a friend with a good roof, it's usually pretty easy to crash a rooftop party. Though most buildings with rooftop decks are secure, a lot of them throw 4th of July parties, and you can get in with someone, or the door might even be propped open. As long as you're nice and respectful, it's unlikely anyone will notice you're not attached to a unit.
