What's a good record store that might have less-than-mainstream electronica?

A friend turned me on to downbeat electronica and trip-hop, but personal tastes have pushed me towards acid jazz end of the spectrum. Pandora (best. website. ever.) has given me a long list of new music I want to search out. I can find most of it online, but dammit I love my record player and want to find some of this stuff on vinyl. So, what's a good record shop that would have some of the more obscure-type stuff I'm looking for? (Examples: quantic, mr. scruff, dj shadow, air, prefuse 73)

Are you looking for an online store or a local store? Is local Tacoma (from your username) or Seattle?

If Seattle, I'd recommend checking out the following four stores which are all within walking distance of each other. If they don't have what you want they can probably offer some suggestions for better stores:

    Zion's Gate:

    Platinum Records:

Zion's Gate has the best selection for older downtempo releases. Go down the center aisle and go to the far end of the store and bingo - a great selection of IDM on one side and an even better selection of downtempo on the other. The prices are a little high, but their selection is unmatched for this genre.

If you're willing to dig, the QA Easy Street has a lot of downtempo releases from $1. I have found some TREASURES there for next to nothing because one man's treasure is another man's downtempo single they'll never play again.

    Good luck!
