• I think egg nogg is primarily marketted around the winter holidays. However, you should be able to find some in cartons at any 7/11 convenience store or in a liquor store to mix with Rum. You happen to have attracted the attention of a person who used to make his own egg nog fresh each Sunday as we ate pop corn and watch Walt Disney on TV. I have a recipe to make it fresh if you like. O my captain answered in Food & Drink 4 months ago | Report 2 0 2 comments by O my captain and Renée… NON-alcoholic eggnog: Take one raw whole egg, one cup cold milk, two tablespoons sugar, a pinch of salt, an 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla, a dash of nutmeg and blend together in mixer, blender or by hand mixer. Mix until well blended and egg is thoroughly distributed, and mix is frothy. (The actual recipe says to mix the cracked egg with the sugar first, then blend in the milk and vanilla, but I'm not sure that makes any difference.) Pour into two chilled glasses or serve poured over the rocks in crushed ice or cubes. Sprinkle the nutmeg on the top of the filled glasses. Do NOT let drink set out in room temps. • a few months ago I would suggest Southern Comfort eggnog at Safeway. • It is illegal to sell or consume eggnog between Memorial Day and Labor Day. You should be ashamed for even suggesting it.
