• VAIN - www.vain.com From very cheap to very expensive cuts. Everyone I've talked to who has been there raves about it, and I love it there. Jenae gave a good cut, but then I had a crappy color (not her). Then I had a high end cut that was nothing special and alright color.   Zero Zero is my favorite. They have good style, you can go moderate or mod, it's up to you. But they have really good advice and ideas, especially if you have something to go from. And they're not horrifically expensive. Cuts average $30ish. Henry is awesome. • Try Vain. It's a hair salon downtown on 2nd (maybe 1st?) avenue. They also have one in Ballard. Anyway, everyone there seems really capable. I go see Carly at the downtown location and she rocks. I come in with a vague idea of what I want and then let her do whatever she wants off of that and I have never been disappointed. Let her know what you like and what you want, even if that's just what it says in your question: "I want a good, stylish haircut but am fashion-impaired and have no idea what to get" and then let her give you her ideas. I highly recommend it.
