Constant has made a few slogs about this. I'm getting my notes together for a long haul on Sunday, anyone else planning on doing this?

I hear Stephen King's been doing this every month for about 30 years or so.

I am. But I've done so many of these that I'm doing a twist this time. I'm writing half of one and a friend of mine is doing half of one and then we're going to swap mid-month and finish the other one's book. I hope it turns out interesting at least.

How'd your long haul Sunday go?

Oh man, I'm already days behind. Too early to surrender?

I wanted to, really - 2007 saw me spectacularly fail (I blame computer issues - I can't do 50,000 words with a pen and paper), while 2008 saw me barely squeak by. Unlike those years, I'm working full time now.

Instead, I'm doing a month of short stories. Polishing my old ones and starting new ones I've had ideas for. Not that anybody reads short stories, but a month of writing can't hurt.
