Cook some cranberries down into a sticky jam with sugar and lemon. Spread that in a thin layer over your par-baked crust before pouring your standard pumpkin filling over top.

I am a die-hard with a vengeance rhubarb pie fan.
Thanksgiving needs a spicy pumpkin pie pie as well.

Here are a couple of Thanksgiving pies I've made and really enjoyed:
Sugar-and-Spice Pumpkin Pie:

http://cupcakemuffin.blogspot.com/2008/12/depths-of-fall-pie.htmlThe first pie is a classic, but a really excellent version of the classic pumpkin pie that's extra-creamy. The second pie is really unusual and delicious...definitely give it a try if you're looking for something different this Thanksgiving!
