Are you on LinkedIn ? It's basically professional Facebook. You could keep your Facebook personal and still do professional networking on LinkedIn.
Or, as B Strand suggests, just change your Facebook settings. You can be part of the groups, but people will only be able to see your status updates and whatnot if they are friends with you. The privacy levels are pretty customizable; you can even limit what some friends see, if you end up adding people from these groups.

technically, it is against the TOS to have two accounts with facebook...I guess if you have a business, the other one can be a business page or something

You can have a limited account (to show your professional face) and a full account (for your drinking buddies)...
This is the first hit when I Google "keeping your personal life separate from business on facebook" and I'm certain that with that page or further Googling you'll be able to figure it out...
